Just got back from Lake Geneva Grand Nationals golf community. Where we completed a
energy audit retrofit of a home about 20 years old. Customers complained that the home
was extremely dusty and two bedrooms where either hot or cold depending on season. We
installed two return into bedrooms. Removed two non IC can light that where a fire hazard.
Air sealed and insulate attic, and that is when we found a 6 by 16 inch hole into the return
air duct system (picture at left) sucking in some great indoor air quality pollutants from the
attic into the house air for occupants to breath.
