Doug Krahl, Started American Temperature Control in 1987. Over the years as an HVAC technician, he's seen first-hand homeowners struggle with comfort, moisture and building durability issues complaints, and was tired seeing money spent with general contractors, carpenters, handy man, and hvac contractors installing the quick band-aid type repairs for comfort, he knew there had to be a better way. He discovered Building Performance Institute, Affordable Comfort Institute, Better Building Better Business, and has been recognized by Dr. Joe Lstiburek's of the Building Science Corporation and invited to Westford Symposium of Building Science, a private invite only conference of 500 brightest minds in the building industry. Our Craftsmanship has been recognized by the brightest minds in the HVAC Industry, used in training materials by Air Conditioner Contractors of America (ACCA), HVACR School, The Energy Conservatory, Retrotec, MeasureQuick, Doug has spoken at the Better Building Better Business conference, HVACR School Symposium, for achievements in HVAC and Building Performance. Doug is a founding member of the HVAC Animal House which is well known in the hvac Industry as a bunch of HVAC nerds.
